Worship at Friendship is a weekly celebration of the risen Christ in our midst.  There are two services:  8:30 a.m. live and live stream via YouTube and 10:45 a.m. in-person. Everyone is welcome in our worship, including children of any age, however nursery service is currently un-available due to COVID-19.  We strive to make the experience exciting for the entire Christian family.  It is inclusive and engaging.  We are a diverse congregation, and, while we engage challenging issues of the day, our worship gives everyone something that they can celebrate.  Come explore God’s Word.  Come sing with us.  Come pray with us.  Come laugh with us.  Come hope with us as we worship side-by-side.

Back to Normal at Friendship Church

The long-awaited time is here to return to normal (or pretty darn close to normal) at our church.  The Governor and the County Executive have lifted all restrictions pertaining to the pandemic.  Mask restrictions have been lifted, except for those individuals that have not yet been vaccinated.  Strict social distancing requirements have been lifted.  Capacity requirements for both indoor and outdoor activities and gatherings have been lifted.

Beginning Sunday, June 6th the following will be in effect:

  1. Contact tracing forms are still required.
  2. Face mask will no longer be required, except for those not fully vaccinated.
  3. All doors will be available for entrance and exit.
  4. Encourage “reasonable” social distancing. Reasonable social distancing defined as two to three apart.  Strict social distancing no longer required unless you have not been fully vaccinated.
  5. All pews will be open.
  6. Congregants may enter and exit the Sanctuary in any order, maintaining at least “reasonable” social distancing.
  7. Welcome the church choir back in the Sanctuary.
  8. Begin celebrating live communion during the service. Continue the use of the pre-packaged communion kits.  Communion kits can be picked up as congregants enter the Sanctuary or provided by the ushers.  Communion trash to be collected by ushers.
  9. Continue to refrain from handshaking and fist bumps.
  10. Continue practicing good hand hygiene with hand sanitizer.
  11. Encourage live meetings to take place per group leaders.
