Giving

Friendship UMC and its members are truly blessed to have newly renovated facilities in which to congregate, and to have many great ministries and programs to support our members and the community.  Please visit our Ministries & Programs page to see how God’s love is working though FUMC.  All of these things are made possible through the generosity of our members, donors, and volunteers.  Your offerings, donations, talents, and time are always very much appreciated, and they will help us continue to do God’s work in our community.  Thank you, and may God bless you!

How You Can Give…

  • Give Now!: The easiest way to give is to press the ‘GIVE NOW’ button at the top of this webpage, or scan the QR code on the Sunday service bulletin.  This will direct you to a variety of giving options, different ways to give and an opportunity to set a one-time donation or sign up for recurring donations.
  • Weekly Offering Plate:  Like most churches, we pass the offering plate at our worship services so you can donate cash, coin, or check.  If you would like for us to provide you weekly giving envelopes, please let us know by sending an email to info@friendshipmethodist.org or calling the church office.
  • Mail-In Donations:  For those who would like to mail an offering or donation, please send a check or money order to:  Friendship UMC, P.O. Box 72, Friendship, MD  20758
  • Online Payments (or Bill Pay) via your bank’s Online Banking:  If your bank offers online payments or Bill Pay with your checking account, you should be able to easily set-up a recurring payment or a one-time payment to Friendship United Methodist Church.  You’ll just need to log into your bank account online, go to Bill Pay or Online Payments, enter “Friendship United Methodist Church” as the payee, and have the payments sent to:  Friendship UMC, P.O. Box 72, Friendship, MD 20758.
  • Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, and Publicly Traded Securities:  Oftentimes there are additional tax advantages to donating stock and securities that have appreciated in value.  If you would like to donate stocks, bonds, or securities, please contact our Treasurer at treasurer@friendshipmethodist.org or call our church office at (410) 257-7133.
  • Bequests and Estate Gifts:  Another great way to give is through your last will & testament or living trust.  If you would like to include Friendship UMC as a beneficiary of your will or living trust, please talk to your estate planner or attorney and let them know your intention to leave a gift for the church.
  • Volunteer:  We understand that some people may not be able to make financial donations, and that’s okay!  Giving does not have to be financial.  Often it is the giving of your time, talents and skills through volunteering.  If you are able to volunteer, please check out our Volunteer page for opportunities.

Regardless of how you give and how much, we want you to be a part of our church family and to worship God and experience God’s love with us.  Thank you, and may God bless you!

Friendship UMC is a 501(c)(3) organization and classified by the Internal Revenue Code as a public charity.  Please check with a professional tax advisor to determine the tax deductibility of your gifts.
